Creole Italian with great seafood: Mandina's of New Orleans, 4240 Highway 22 (Azalea Shopping Center), Mandeville, LA 70471; (985)674-9883; -90.095726, 30.394561. This location resulted when the original (now reopened: 3800 Canal St, New Orleans 70119; (504)482-9179; -90.09786, 29.97255) was being rebuilt following the New Orleans' flood.
Outstanding Smoked BBQ: Zekes Smokehouse, 7100 Santa Monica Blvd, West Hollywood, CA 90046; (323)850-9353; -118.34588, 34.09058. A second location is at 2209 Honolulu Ave, Montrose, CA 91020; (818)957-7045; -118.22554, 34.20512
