Loading POIs onto Nuvi 350

I'm trying to load POI files onto a Nuvi 350. I've created a POI download folder, with seperate sub-folders inside of it. I'll load a single sub-folder at a time - it loads fine. When I load a second subfolder it overwrites the POIs that had been previously loaded. Is there a way to load POIs / subfolders without overwriting POIs that have been previously loaded?

You have to load ALL POI's at once

POILoader overwrites the previous POI file each time. So you have to point POILoader to the root folder so it can reload ALL your POI's each time you do an update. It will search ONE folder deep from there, and each subfolder will show up as a category in your Custom POI lists after they are loaded.

I have a directory on my

I have a directory on my computer that is mirrored on my Nuvi. I make all my changes and updates there and load with the POI loader software from Garmin. There is no way to add or subtract from the data on the Nuvi other than editing the data on the computer and then sending it up to the Nuvi again. Fortunately it is fast, so it is not a burden to make the changes. A far cry from the earlier Garmin GPS units!

POI.gpi

You can also rename the poi.gpi found under Garmin\poi folder on your nuvi drive.
or

Or a combination thereof.

A thread on how to rename the files is at:

Everyone has their own favorite way of loading POIs. I like to rename the poi.gpi file (as in the above link) for all POIs which do not change often, like 'Rest Areas' and 'Low Clearance' POIs. Then use the Folder method for ones that do change often, like 'Red Light Camera' POI.
