Converting CSV's into Magellan format files

I recently got a Magellan Crossover for Christmas and I love it. The only hangup so far is figuring out how to convert CSV formats into acceptible forms. I know that it requires some editing in Excel, but the exact how-to on the editing eludes me. The POI converter only tells me that the fields should include titles for Latitude, Longitude, and Name. I have no idea how to insert that.

Does anybody know the exact procedure to format these files in excel, or is there some other way to fix these for the converter to accept them?

Correct format

If all you need to do is swap the longitude and latitude, then POI Verifier will do this for you.

Well I don't think it's

Well I don't think it's asking me to swap fields, and if thats the case I think I can do that in Excel. It seems like it's saying that I have to label each portion of the data as either "Latitude", "Longitude" or "Name", which seems odd to me. It doesn't seem to have a function to allow me to do that. What I'm able to view is the individual pieces of data, which are separated by commas, which is par for the course for a CSV. I didn't know if there was some way to embed a descriptor field, if that was even what it asked for.

I have the Magellan Maestro

I have the Magellan Maestro and it came with a POI converter, which is probably similar to the one you are using. I opened the CSV file from w/in the Magellan POI converter and it asked me how the data was separated - in my case comma's - click next and it asks you to label each column - from the drop down box pick the correct label - then click next and it should import your data.

Lat and Long and Magellan
