Question for nuvi 650 owners

For you nuvi 650 owners, I'm wondering if you could answer a question for me.

If you copy a GPX file directly to the unit, will the unit read it (ie allow you to import it into your Favorites).

Thanks.

Motorcycle Mama,
Not sure what you mean by "directly" loading a GPX file to your 650. I have several GPX POI files on my 650 that were placed there using the POI Loader.

She is asking if you take a GPX file and place it on the unit via windows explorer, will the unit read that file and thus you have it's contents in favorites.

MM, does the zumo do it? I know that the nuvi 350 does. Why do you ask?

What I mean is that if you were to copy the GPX file directly to the unit (drag and drop), will the unit see the file. Usually, the unit would prompt you to import the data.

Yep, me too.

I don't have software to convert .csv files to .gpx files so the loader is the only way I can load them.

Yeah, I agree, if all other

Yeah, I agree, if all other units do, then so should the 650. I would be highly surprised that it doesn't. But then again, I have been "highly surprised" before...lol.

Thanks for the input. He finally figured out that they will work when you place them in the GPX folder on the unit.
