let us know if this helps.

If you right click on the address when it pops up you can go to the edit button and choose advanced and it should give you the coordinants. Let me know if you get stuck again and we will problem solve it together.

Google Earth Plus

Do you need to buy Plus or just use Google Earth

Dah

I didnt read what you posted. Sorry!!!

Ok here is where confusion starts

I am trying to figure this out so I pulled a location from the School POI files on this web-site.

Gulf Breeze High School from the POI file is -87.1533 30.3605
From Google Earth I get 87°10'1.66"W 30°21'33.87"

I hope I dont sound dumb but I have never used this kind of stuff before???

Dazed and Confused

you have to go under options

you have to go under options and change your rendering to Lat/Lon Degrees and elevation to Feet, miles.
that should fix the problem

Ok

Now that changed the Lat/Long to
-87.1533 30.3605

and the file on the website is -87.1691 30.3605

Which one is correct??? Is there another place where people are pulling this information or just google earth.

Mark

which file are you looking

which file are you looking at on the website?

File looking at

I got the information from the Schools. There are a lot of schools in my area that are incorrect on that file.

thanks

Jon got that file from the Department of the Interior, we had some other comments about the school file and we are still in the process of getting the basic tools and structure up and running smoothly on the website before attacking some of the more detailed issues.

Thanks for letting us know what you found,

Miss Poi
