cases (for nuvi 200)

The nuvi 200 is about the same size as the nuvi 350, unless you got the wide one. I got a very nice leather case at walmart that even has a belt clip if you are into that sort of thing. It cost $15 and is intented for a blackberry, so look in the cellular phone section.

I use a Palm Pilot leather case, when I leave the car it goes on my belt.

I currently use the garmin leather case for my Nuvi 760 but I wish it wasn't open on one end. I already had the Nuvi slip out because of that. Luckily no damage was done.

Amazon has real cheap Garmin brand cases. Just copy the manufacturer's part number from Garmin's site under accessories for the 200 and go to Amazon and enter it in as a search.

I have this case for my 250w, the link supplied is for the 3.5 inch screen. It's good enough for me and might work for you.

I bought the genuine Garmin leather case for my nuvi 250W, but now wish I hadn't. As DrewDT reported, the device easily slips out of the case's open end. There are some good suggestions here. Game cases are another way to go.

I too am looking for case looked in wallmaart they have several gamescase itmes with belt loops and zippers also with extra plastic holder on the inside so that it won,tslid out as you open case . about 15 bucks

I have a StreetPilot C530 and found that an extra padded shaving kit I had fits the bill. It's just big enough to hold the C530 and its carrying case, car power cord adapter, home AC adapter, and the suction mount. When I travel, the shaving kit goes in my carry-on luggage where invariably, the TSA folks ask me to open the kit so that they can take a closer look.

I dug through the wife's jewelry closet and found a great felt-lined pouch that has slight padding and a draw-string top. Looks great, and works well, too.

I was considering getting the Garmin leather case, and decided against it after reading this thread.

I use an aluminum case for my PDA, and don't use the canvas case that came with it. Turns out, it's a perfect fit for the 750. It also has elastic sides for a snug fit.

I found a walmart camera case w/a movable divider and xtra pockets. When I get out of my rig I can grab my wallet, cel-blue tooth, gps and usb cable. All in a convient, protective case. My wife calls it my purse! But I`m secure in my manhood. It`s my "if u want to steal my stuff ur gonna have to deal w/me, not break a window and take it like a coward" bag!

I would highly suggest not using the Garmin case. I had the 680 and put it in the case and had my wife put it in her purse. When i got it back it had a couple of good chips where the case does not cover. I am going to look into the Navigon one for my 750 which is going to arrive tommorrow.

CC wanted $7.99, but the $5.59 direct from the manufacturer may be a better deal (depending on shipping).

I am surprised by the several comments about the nuvi models falling out of the Garmin cases. Bought one for my 200W from ebay. The unit fits very tightly into the case - can't see how it would ever fall out. Maybe as I use it longer the case will stretch some. Actually have to hold the power switch so that the unit doesn't turn ON as I slide it into the case. Works OK for me so far.

pammckenzie. You must have gotten the same case I found at Walmart.I put the complete unit in it including the dash skid mount, usb and power cable.Even room for the manual.Nice having everything in one place now instead of looking in different locations.

Yep, this is exactly what will happen. It's a nice tight fit at first. But within a few weeks the case stretches, and makes for a loose fit.

OK - I will see what happens in a few weeks and report back. I take the unit in and out of the case several times each day. I will be really surprised if it stretches that much - it is such a tight fit now. Have been using it only for a few days so far, so we shall see.

I found a camera case at Radio Shack that fit the 260 perfectly. It has a thick pad inside that helps protect the screen. The Radio Shack catalog number is 16-103.

Don't know about the best case for a Nuvi 2xx but I bought two for under 10 bucks that I like.. the first was at Big Lots. It has two zippers that meet in the middle, or either side, and a loop to place on a belt.. it was a little tight for the Nuvi so I soaked a piece of wood and stuck it in the case.. Three days later.. nice.. It was $3.99.

The other is a Denali.. plenty big for the Nuvi.. plus it has a SD card holder, belt loop and lanyard to hang around your neck.. $4.99 at Target.

I went to Wilson Leather and got a very nice Protective case that fits my Nuvi 650 very nicely. I also has a belt loop but I have never used it. It has great stainless steel zippers...It was about 14 bucks.

Last week I picked up a simple Case Logic case from Wal-mart for about $8. My nuvi 200 fits nice in it. It came with an armband and a strap, but I removed both to stick with the simple dual-zippered pouch.

Any thoughts on the best case for Magellan Maestro 3225. I've seen a few for $24-$29 but that's crazy!!

Fry's Electronics has two sizes of very well designed generic GPS cases. I bought the smaller one and my 260W fits in the front small pocket all by itself and very well protected, the sd card has its own pocket, and there is room enough for the USB & DC charger cable. The case also has a loop on the back for a belt or what ever.
The small one is 12.99 & the large is 14.99.
I am not sure where Fry's has store located, other than Houston Tx, but they do have online sopping.

I am looking for a case (not too expensive) for my Nuvi 650. I keep it in my glove compartment when not driving and want to protect it from scratches.

Does anyone know of a hinged hard case for a 200W? I need the rigidity of a hard case. The leather cases will not work for my environment.

I got mine here, A normal sized cell phone fits great in the front pouch and there are 2 places to store SD or Flash cards inside the main compartment.

I looked at this case and think that I will get it. I like that I can put all of the attachments in one place. I wish it was less expensive though.

Just bought a "Targus" camera case at Walmart for $2.99 - fits my nuvi 650 perfectly - it's black in color, canvass type of material, velcro holds flap closed and it has a belt loop in the back. (sorry - couldn't find a picture on the Walmart site)

I use a Walmart shaving bag that I paid $6.50 for travel and storage. Everything, including an external antenna, fits in it. Nice and padded, easy to handle and to carry. Of course, I don't belt carry/wear it. I have a Lowrance handheld unit with a waterproof belt case I use for hand/belt carry.

I have been looking for a case for my Nuvi 200W for a while now. I don't really like the Garmin leather cases and I didn't want anything too big or too hard. Case Logic sells a a GPS case that looks nice but the dimensions are not exactly what I wanted.

Then I remembered I bought a Western Digital Passport drive a few weeks ago that came with some kind of case. I dug it out and man is it perfect. It is a neoprene padded zip pouch and it fits the 200W perfectly. I also love it because it is stretchy so it will actually fit with the mount clip attached (I find it easier to dismount the GPS from the swivel ball than the clip) and it also has a little outside pouch for memory cards or a USB cable. It is pretty much perfect in my opinion. You can find it here.

The spash screen I posted is for wide screens. You'll have to modify it a bit to fit your 200.

Speck Products makes a great silicone case in black or translucent white for the Nuvi 200 and 300 series called the Toughskin. I have one for my 360 and it comes with a screen protector and i havent used an external case since. You can keep it on and never have to take it off.

I just picked one up at one of the Radio Shacks here in Tucson. It was $5 but it was the next to last one in the store, it was marked as "Clearance" and was at the only store in Tucson that still had them.

As carys90 states, the 260 fits perfectly, but if you need one, grab it now before they are all gone.

Was wondering if you or Pammckenzie might have the make and model of this camera case?
