Advance models dont have the features

Has anyone else wondered why the more expensive models (Garmins) don't have certain features as the lower end ones? For instance, it appears that the 6xx series don't have a north up pointer on the map.
I think that a 6xx series should include the same features of its counterpart 3xx series, then more.
I just bought a 680, I think
I just bought a 680, I think it has the North up, as I just tested going on a trip. I am not sure abou the other 6XX version though.
Sure miss the North pointer
I was using both the Nuvi 650 and my Etrex on a recent trip. I really like having the north pointer and the the Scale..It is too bad the Off road and On road guys Dont talk to each other. The Etrex and other Off road units seem to be getting better as the On road units are getting Dumber ..and "more user friendly" How hard is it to leave the god stuff. Just give us the choices to use it or not..
