Hello all. I am a new registered user to POI Factory. I am also a owner of a new Nuvi 660 (thanks to Best Buy and their Black Friday deal).
Couple of questions, I have searched and came up empty so far.
First, how long does it take to fully charge the Nuvi 660?
Second, what is the largest SD memory card I can use?
I have been playing around with the 660 and I like it. I was surprised it came with the updated 2008 maps.
Thanks,
Bill
SD Card
According to garmin the 660 can take up to a 4GB
SD/SDHC card.

SD Card
Yes the 660 will take a 4gb SD/SDHC card. the only problem you may have is if you try to use the SD?SDHC card in your reader on your pc and not in the 660 your reader may not read the SD Card unless you have a newer model reader. I had to get a usb SDHC reader to use in my pc but if I plug the 660 in is will read it through it.

Yes, all you do is transfer the mp3 file to the card
and then put it in the 660 unit. It automatically plays the songs you have on the card.

There's two volume settings, make sure each one is cranked all the way up.
What two volume settings? I have found only one for the voices.

on the where to screen
When your at the Where to screen isnt there a wrench icon and a speaker icon, tap the speaker icon and it brings up a volume adjust and a brightness adjustment, do them both on one screen.

But he's trying to find the screen with setting for navigation volume and mp3/Audible volume.
Edit: There are factors of 0 to 100% that get applied to the overall volume for each type of sound and thus a way to both set a lower max volume and ratio the two. Setting both to 90 and then turning the main volume to 100% would prevents the distortion that that I get at 100%. A setting of 90 for navigation and 70 for mp3s would solve the problem of navigation instructions being missed because quiet music is playing, etc.
