Default City / Registry

When entering a new address I'm asked New York or enter State...
Is there a way for the next step to ask my default city as well?
Is there a way I can edit advanced settings? I'm looking for the regedit.

Default Location
My Nuvi (like all of them, I guess) assumes where I am as the default location, but gives me the option to choose another if I prefer. It may just be their choice of drilling down thru menus instead of asking someone wanting a different state to "back up" to change it. In my limited knowledge of such things, it seems to me that it would require a programming change to alter the menu progression, not simply defaulting to one state which would skip a screen.
Trust me, though. I could be totally wrong!
