Adding Phone Numbers to POI's

Hello and thank you in advance for the help. I have a Garmin 660 and I would like to add some POI files with phone numbers. My Bluetooth will not upload my contacts from my phone so my only option is to load POI's with phone #'s. However I don't seem to have the correct format. I am using excel and saving under .csv I listed the long and lat in column A and B then I add the name in C and phone in c. The GPS unit does not recognize the phone # to call for the POI. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Not loading contacts from phone

I had Nuvi 360 and it loading contacts from phone when using bluetooth option. I might be wrong but I thought 360 and 660 are the same only 660 has bigger screen.

For some reason my Nokia

For some reason my Nokia 9300 will not sent the contacts over so I thought I would create a POI with all of my needed contacts and thier phone #'s and would dial from the Extra/custom POI's location. However, I can not get the Garmin to dial from my custom POI's. Any ideas???

Basically, you need to create the POI specifically in GPX format to enable auto-dialing. CSV won't do the job.

GPX Formating

What program should I use to write my GPX file? I have EasyGPS, will that do the job?
Thanks for the help.

I'm sure Phil will be along shortly to explain all the ins and outs of GPX, but if you search for GeePeeEx, you will find lots of information on the subject.

Too busy :-)

That's awesome!! The UK has some great holidays!

easiest way

The easiest way I've found to create the "dialable" phone numbers is by using Phil's gpx editor.

Search here or visit his website ( look for it at the bottom of one of his posts)
