On my Nuvi 350, the road I am being routed on is pink or purple. Other roads are red, orange and gray. What do the red and orange represent?

On my Nuvi 350, the road I am being routed on is pink or purple. Other roads are red, orange and gray. What do the red and orange represent?
road colors
They probably represent different road sizes. The major interstate highways are red on my Nuvi. That caught my attention the first time. I have to check on orange the next time I'm out.
Map legend
Active routes are the purple color - red is interstates, orange are US highways/Business routes & major state highways, and the gray are state/county roads and city streets.
