I am making a POI of some addresses using Excell. A couple of these addresses are out in the sticks and I can't find positions to imput into a converter. I have tried to find them using Google Earth but they are not showing. If I drive to the location can I use my Nuvi 670 to get a fix on them and if so how is this done. I have looked through the menu but I don't see if this is possible.

Saving your present position
You can do it two ways...
1: On the menu screen, >where to; >Coordinates; >Next; >Save - that will save the present location.
2: On the map screen, touch the icon representing your vehicle...and then hit Save.

The vehicle or anywhere else on the screen
On the map screen, touch the icon representing your vehicle...and then hit Save.
I found out the other day by accident, that actually you can touch anywhere on the screen and it is the location that you are at. So if you are uncoordinated (as I am) and you miss the icon, you don't have to worry, it will be the same.

Save your present position
On my 670 I don't have Where To "Coordinates" and I knew about the touch vehicle or screen trick. What I wanted was the coordinates and I found them by touching the Signal Strength Green Bars at the top left of screen which shows by Longitude & Latitude where you are. So I will drive there, get the coordinates, enter them in the Convertor and I will be Happy! Thanks to all those who responded.

Yeah you do have a > "Where to" > Coordinates...
On the Main screen, hit "Where to" - then, the blue box with the down arrow should be lit up...hit that...and you should see "coordinates" right above the "near" button - that's where it is on my 660...should be the same on a 670.

Thanks to all on getting
Thanks to all on getting coordinates. I was trying to do this last week when I got my Nuvi 350 (my first land GPS) and couldn't figure it out. I hate reading manuals on a computer screen and didn't want to print out all 73 pages. Besides, mend don't need instruction manuals and we never get lost!

yes, but

Touching the vehicle on your screen will save that location, you can then give it a name.
your c330 will not however display the actual lat and lon for you to see, like some of the other units.

Current Location
Will touching the screen on the c340 register the current location also? Wher do you find the listing so the name can be changed? I can then extract the Long/Lat using EasyDPS.

the 340 should react the same, touch the icon on the map screen, it will then save that location to "Favorites" probably with a number ie 001, 002 etc you can then select that from "Favorites" and edit/rename etc. (Looking at the manual, you will look in "Favorites" > "My Locations")
