Nuvi350 Users...Speakers

If you're speaking of the nuvi speakers, I very much doubt if you can tell if it even has two speakers. You can tell more if you connect a headset or external speakers.

Also, you can set whether you want left, right, or both speakers. Press and hold the time display in the upper right hand corner of the screen until the GPS goes into the test mode. Toggle with the Back and Next buttons until you get the Audio Test Page. There you can set it for right, left, or both speaker.

Yeah, it is hard to tell the difference between the speakers. you have to lower the volume. It works fine with the headphones/external speakers. I am almost wondering if the left speaker is crapped out.
The right speaker (the one on the same side as the SD card) is MUCH louder then the other.

I don't believe that you can set the speakers, I think that left/right speaker is for testing only.

Correct. Using that test should determine if your nuvi has an audio problem on one speaker (checking with headset).

yeah, it works fine with the head set, just the speakers are screwed. Would send it back in, but don't want to be without it. I guess I can live with it.

Ok, here is what I did, I went and got another one and it did the same thing, so I got yet another one, same thing...

So it appears that I am just crazy in the head.

Following this procedure - I'm pretty certain the Nüvi 310 only has one speaker (rhs - looking from front).

Does the 350 have the same dummy grill on the back? In other words, there's a grid pattern of holes, but they don't go all the way through. There's diamond pattern in this grid at one side, that are real holes - which is presumably where the speaker is

Yeah, I sorta feel stupid, there is only one speaker!!! I guess the left and right is for the headphone jack.

I did some research on it and found out. I see what you mean now (just looked at it) and you are right, there are no "real" holes on the left side.

Well your C530 definitely had two speakers, if it makes you feel any better

yeah, the c530 was soooooooo much better in the speaker/sound quality

Hey Asianfire, I was going to suggest you get your hearing checked LOL but I see you found the answer to your problem. I guess one speaker would make a difference on how the unit sounds.
