Making gas station icons visible?

You need to zoom in fairly close to see the built in POIs on the screen.

Unfortunately, the nuvis don't support only showing on type of POI so all of the POIs will show when zoomed in.

I don't think, you can see the built in poi icons, while in navigation mode, regardless, of the zoom level. You can see them in "Browse Map" mode, while zoomed in close enough.

The custom bmp's can be seen while in navigation mode, again when zoomed in close enough.

There is the issue of the map display's dynamic change of zoom level. On a nuvi 6XX series, the user can hit the "+" key while viewing the map to zoom in, but after a few seconds, the display will change back to it's origianl zoom level.

Well, that stinks. On my Zumo, I can see the built in POIs when I zoom in to 300 feet or closer, which in my opinion, in almost useless except when walking.

The Custom POIs show up when I am zoomed to 0.3 miles or closer.

Walking or sitting in the parking lot waiting for the wife to get finished shopping and you have nothing else to do but browse around your GPS...lol.

Yeah, zumo got that one right. Unfortunate for the rest of us...lol

Is this an issue with only the 3D mode or does it happen in 2d mode as well? That might be why I never experience it because I don't use 3D mode.
