Trip to New Jersey

Used my Garmin C 340 on a recent trip to New Jersey
It was great It wanted to take me through NY and across the GW bridge But I wanted to go Tapan Zee bridge and the garden State Parkway Once I made the turn it re calculated and took be right were I wanted to go And around Tinton falls I was able to run Some errands without getting lost and calling to get directions back. Needed to go to dinner and presto looked it up punched go and off we went.
Now the only trouble is I want to travel more now so I can use it.

I may also be up grading?? To a Garmin 2720 Is it better unit ?????

I tried using the C340 in NYC and many a times the singal got lost. It was a bit difficult to navigate in downtown NYC as most of the time it had lost signal.

.

Any unit that doesn't have a high-sensitivity receiver chip will likely experience reception problems in areas where the signal is being blocked. Under trees, in valleys, and in the concrete canyons of in big cities.

You are obviously familiar with gps navigation. You probably have a good idea what features you would like to have on a gpsr.

Research, and compare. You could possibly find another model that would possibly suit your needs better than the 2720, ie portability, battery operation, mp3 or jpg file handling, use of data cards, bluetooth, vehicle icons, headphone/line out jacks, SiRFstarIII chipset or not etc etc. You may find that the 2720 is a perfect match for you. BTW, the 2720 is a discontinued model, if that matters.

Research, and compare models. Note, on the left side of the compare page you can select "Discontinued" and compare those as well.
