It's not just Flock

I was using Google Earth street view to verify some speed camera locations when I found a pickup truck parked in the bike lane right next to a speed camera (38.99432, -76.93232). The truck was identified as belonging to Altumint. It seems that in addition to measuring speed (https://altumint.com/automated-traffic-enforcement/) their cameras can function as LPRs (https://altumint.com/vehicle-recognition/). "Our proprietary AI networks are trained to find the vehicle first—so even those with missing or obstructed plates are captured." Another case of AI making our lives better?

When did Flock cameras start

When did Flock cameras start billing for things? But if they are misiterpreting numbers or letters, the the AI needs to have its pay docked.

Maybe I missed something,

Maybe I missed something, but why isn't content flagged flock ai verified by a human before acting on it??

Lets agree

Lets agree;

• Flock cameras don't solve crimes, people do
• Flock cameras capture and identify, vehicles (and many of the specifics about that vehicle, license plates, color, bumper stickers, things on the car like roof racks, and other stuff)
• Flock cameras can and do see inside cars
• some Flock cameras capture Bluetooth and cell phone IEMI information.. BTW, many cars have cellular connections and the actual vehicle is identified too
• Flock cameras have a vast surveillance database system that can be searched
• this technology has been available for a long time
• your cellphone is GPS tracked everywhere you go.

The technology inand of itself isnt the problem. Its our legislators who fail to implement laws that impose staggering personal fines for those that misuse the data, judges that fail to enforce our laws and allow our constitution freedoms to be trampled.

Its unfortunate the United States is on the verge of having a social credit system at their disposal that can be used similar to China to disallow credit and other freedoms.

We are quickly being turned into a society where someone / some database can be queried at ant time of day fo discover your travel path between any 2 starting / endind dates and times!

Have you checked your car

Have you checked your car lately? It will give you a lot of info on your phone about your car. Nice, huh? It also communicates that info to mfg servers and to dealers along with where and when you drive, how fast and your driving style. And you are complaining about Flock cameras?

1. You pay for the car
2. The car dealer sells your data to data broker(s) and maybe insurance companies

And you have no legal recourse..

Of course, IFF ( thats IF & ONLY IF ) We The People would choose to rise up ( and thats our collective our responsibility), enmass and cooperate together to restrict these abilities and restore our collective protections under our constitution

But, what would I know?

Security

I wonder if they would ticket someone "speeding" in a construction zone even though it was Sunday or some other time when there was obviously no construction going on. I've often traveled through areas that say to slow down for construction when there were no workers or equipment present.

I've heard rumours of construction areas having a Security guard on site to prevent theft of construction equipment along some of our highways and this being used to justify "workers present" fine increases. I've not been hit with this personally (no tickets for me) but knowing how greedy some areas are for ticket money, I'd not be surprised.
