15 new cash grab speed cams in LA

After Flock cameras, speed cameras seem pretty benign.

The article says you have to be going at least 11 mph over the limit before getting a ticket, PA's law is similar, not really a cash grab is it. If they were starting to write tickets at 1 mph over the limit I'd say that was a cash grab.

I know most speed limits are artificially lower than they should be, but the limit is the law and if you can't stay within 10 mph over the limit you deserve the ticket.

I understand the statement of 11 mph over, but for some reason I'm not convinced the speed detecting mechanism is calibrated properly and to that point its likely should you protest you weren't +11 or greater youd likely have no means to defend yourself
