Subaru Clock Not Downloading Daylight Time Change from Google Pixel 4A - SOLVED

My 2019 Subaru Forester always automatically updated the time change. Every time the audio head unit boots up, the time on the Subaru clock is updated in Bluetooth at the same time Contacts is downloaded.

The Contacts worked fine in the audio head unit, but the time update no longer worked when I got a Google Pixel 4A (no 5G).

The 2019 Subaru Multimedia System Manual recommends AVRCP version 1.4
A check of Developer Options in the Pixel phone settings showed the AVRCP was set to the default 1.5

After the AVRCP was changed, the phone was rebooted. The car was started and the Contacts (Phone Book) download took several minutes. The phone displayed a popup, "Subaru BT needs permission to access messages." The permission button was touched and the time change worked!

It may be that this works for every Pixel in every Subaru. idea

How to get into Pixel Phone Developer Options:
Developer Options is hidden. Go to Settings / About Phone / Touch Build Number 7 times to enable developer options. Scroll down a long way to various Bluetooth settings, and AVRCP.

Disclaimer: Before mucking about in Developer Options, be aware that a mistake here can seriously disable the phone, but nothing that a hard reset cannot fix, but all your data will be erased. shock crying
Work deliberately, and keep a record of changes made.
