North of here there is lots of ice, snow and/or freezing rain. If you are in the affected area and have to drive, be careful!

on-call this week. I get that many people "must" be available 24/7/365, but to be officially on the hook stinks.

What I would say is multi-tasking is ineffective in general--would you want your car in for service and the tech is working on 4 cars at the same time (lol watch YouTube and the flat rate mechanics' woes)? A human can pull it off, but again, not desirable...

Subway

Last trip was Sunday to subway for a steak and cheese for the pro bowl, Pro Bowl what a joke and a waste of money. Sandwich was good. Switched to the Olympics instead.

Still no rain. Beautiful and will be in the low 70's today but we really need rain. Another dry year and probably another town will burn to the ground.

Rain here is wasted, we have few rivers and no dams to collect the water. So far, we're above normal rain for season for whatever it's worth.

Income Taxes

Got my last 1099DIV today so I was able to complete my first cut at the taxes. TaxCut program says it needs to be updated before I can file, so much for my promptness.

Good day trip

Made a day trip from Murrells Inlet, SC down to Mt Pleasant and back. Made the usual stops at several antique stores and Trader Joes. Tried a different burger joint for lunch. We have added that place to our approved list. Easy drive down and back.
