Rain here is wasted, we have few rivers and no dams to collect the water. So far, we're above normal rain for season for whatever it's worth.

We're in a drought year - again. What hasn't already burned in the past will likely burn this year. There have already been some fires. February is supposed to be winter. We have sunshine and temps that are far warmer than they should be. The nearby lake is low.

There is a proposal to make a new water storage area that would capture river runoff when there actually is rain. We need the storage but this is California so we will waste billions of dollars on a bullet train that will probably never be completed and fail to make the actual infrastructure improvements we really need.
