RAGBRAI

It's RAGBRAI week in Iowa ... thousands of bicyclists riding 50 to 70 miles a day in 100+ degree heat index weather, then a big party each night in the stopover town. If I was younger and in better shape, I might give it a try, but 25 or 30 miles with ebike assist (and in cooler weather) is about all I am good for. I think ebikes are allowed in RAGBRAI, but battery range/recharging would be a challenge as most riders camp in local city parks overnight with no access to recharge the battery.

RAGBRAI (Register's Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa) was cancelled for the first time in 2020 because of Covid, so the enthusiasts are excited to have it back again.

It is really discouraging that we are in a situation where we need to "mask up" again, but that's where we are. I just purchased a new supply of KN95 masks on Amazon and plan to start wearing a mask again when I go out. Also replenished my supply of Purell in case it gets hard to find again.
