Will 2022.10 Map Update Be Coming Soon?

The 2021.10 map update was released on 2/19/2020 last year and the last map update, 2021.30, occurred on 12/03/2020, almost three months ago. March is a day away so the 2022.10 map update probably wont be too far behind.
Any thoughts or guesses? I'm certain the thought about a new map update must have passed though the minds of others as inquiring minds want to know.

The last map update was Dec. 3. The average number of days between updates over the past 14 map updates is 126.57 and all of them have been on a Wednesday or Thursday. Projecting 126 days from December 3, 2020 gives a date of April 8, 2021, which conveniently is on a Thursday.

Each change adds up
I always update asap. i don't expect them to get every detail right at every time simply because of the millions of streets and details involved. But I do see changes every time. From updated contact info for businesses to new directions on streets that changed from/to one way/two way etc. Therefore, I hope that with the gap between updates growing nearly every time they at least will try to push in more updated details in every update

Actually, the trend is going the other way. The first year Garmin reduced their number of map releases to 3 per year was 2016 with the 2017.xx numbered versions. Here are the dates of map releases over the past 5 years. You can see the release dates are gradually extending further into the year, and the 2022 numbered map versions will continue this trend, at least for the 2022.10 map. (Thanks to jgermann for tracking these dates in his FAQ)

I still have not downloaded the 2021.3 update, so I'll just wait for the next one. 2021.2 still works for my needs. Not going many places anyway...
2022.10 Maps are released
It's hard to second guess Garmin's timing. Garmin probably just wanted to inject a little excitement during the pandemic.
