Historically, we put >15,000 per year on each car, sometimes > 20,000 per year.
This past year, we accumulated only 7,400 miles total between both cars.
Surprised it's that high.

Stopped at a mall on my way home from a music lesson to pick up a large box of Godiva chocolate for Valentine's Day.
Good thing, too. This particular Godiva Chocolatier location is closing this coming Monday.
Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park
The drive was nice and there was some snow present in the lower elevations. Most of the mountains were covered in snow. There was not much wildlife present, but we did see two deer. The trip was in the middle of the week, so it was pleasant and not very crowded.

Next Trip
Will be a 3 hour one way drive to get a Covid vaccination. Bad weather is predicted and a hotel stay will likely be required. Cancelling is out of the question since it took a month to get this appointment.

Covid Dose 1
Went to the clinic to get Pfizer Covid Vaccine dose #1. Second dose will be March 1. YAY
They apparently had a lottery to offer unused doses from phase 1 and I got lucky ... my wife not so much, she is still waiting.

We are not used to the cold weather on the coast. Drive with the heater on full blast and watch out for black ice.
Houston for Husband's treatment
We were in Houston for my husband's final treatment. It was supposed to be a 6 day trip but ended up being 11 days. The manufacturer had a problem and couldn't' get the nuclear dose to the clinic on the 1st scheduled day. It has to come the day of the treatment as it doesn't last long. They fly it from Plano to Houston on the day of treatment. Well, they finally had it ready to fly it down on the next treatment date and wouldn't you know there was fog that morning. His treatment was scheduled for 11am. They gave him his IVs as he has to wait for an hour to get his treatment. Well the pilot made it and they wheeled in a barrel looking container about 3 feet wide and maybe 4 feet tall with locks on it. It was on time and all went well. He always goes back to the clinic the day after treatment then we drive home.
We left after his checkup the next day in the rain. Drove most of the day in rain at 33 degree weather. By the time we neared Fort Worth the temp was now 29 with mist on the windshield. We had about another 30 minute drive and made it before there was any ice on the road.
Staying isolated in our room 11 days, but at least my husband could watch the Super Bowl.
4 trips and 4 weather events.
Hurricane threat, Ice threat and Rain.
We only drove one leg of all the trips without rain.
He will still have to go to Houston for 4 more trips but at least he won't have to have the treatments. Now to see what the weather brings us with them.
