Garmin Express 6.19.3.0!!

Update complete. Thanks

Not installing on my WIN 10

Not installing on my WIN 10 laptop. I just freshly installed Windows today but now the latest version 6.19.3.0 fails to install at "installing netfx472redist".

Luckily, I had older version saved from July. Installed the old version for the time being.

usually a .Net issue

That specific error is usually a result of .Net issues so make sure that is up to date. Without knowing the Windows version you are using I would suggest you visit https://support.garmin.com/en-US/?faq=2TGeapPjJ6037l0VAIlkz6 and/or
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4073120/microsoft-n... for the update.

Thanks for your advice. I was also thinking that it was missing some .net component.

.net

Either broken .net installation or too old version installed. Try to run Windows Update and check if this helps.

Used Garmin Express for the first time. I always used mapupdater but the latest version would not let me update beyond 2019.20 maps. Yes, I don't update very often, although at least yearlyish to keep the subscription active.

Yes, I am trying but for some reason, no updates are being pulled by the laptop. Sometimes Microsoft servers start misbehaving..

Wowie Zowie. I wonder if I saw you on TV. That truly was a very long time ago. We had an oval screen Raytheon TV. We could get BOTH channels!

Just before WWII my old man built a TV (from a rudimentary kit) that had channels 1, 2, and 3. Before he finished it channel 1 was history (and NOT the History Channel!)

I don’t remember the kind of TV we had but my old man had an uncle who produced TVs and his name was Moe. His TVs had the brand name of (ta dah) Moe’s.

My mother said that I was also on Captain Video but I have no recollection of that.

History

How times have changed, huh?

And with your avatar, were you watching the final HD show when Clarabell spoke?

I just looked that up on it’s wiki and that was in ‘60 and the answer is no.

IIRC whatever channel I was watching started the day with American Farmer. This was in the deep dark dank depths of Brooklyn. Then came the cartoons I was waiting for. I don’t know an easy way to check if what I am about to say is factual, but it is my recollection. The Army-McCarthy hearings were on TV in the mornings displacing the cartoons. [Opportunity for satire here.] I watched the hearings (without any comprehension) and probably didn’t watch cartoons again until South Park.

Perhaps someone will have a thread about navigating to Ebbets field (no apostrophe!) and I could go off topic again.

Thanks

.

Hijack my own thread ?

Since several of you have brought up old stuff, here's my 2 cents:
Watching the MM Club for changes in Annette>
Bud Collier's Beat the Clock.
Million Dollar Movie in NY playing the same movie all week. (I watched King Kong every night)
All the characters that Jackie Gleason played (The Poor Soul, Joe the Bartender, Reginald Van Gleason the Third, etc.)I can also remember the McCarthy hearings and the Cuban Revolution (before Fidel became a bad guy)
Princess Summerfalwinterspring was a beauty! Chief Thunderthud wasn't. Flub-a-dub, Phineas T. Bluster.
My nicname reveals my age. Also did Nam 1964-5.
