Follow up to "Screaming GPS and red frame"
A little while back I posted that I was getting a fat red frame as well as the Garmin screaming at me that I was going the wrong way on a one way street. Which I definitely was not!!!
I had said I was wondering if the 2020.30 map would correct that.
I just did a "simulated run" along the same stretch and not a murmur from the GPS.
I am now wondering if the GPS had me incorrectly positioned way well to the left where there is a single separated lane going in the opposite direction!
Oh, the mysteries of a GPS.
Nuvi 2797LMT, DriveSmart 50 LMT-HD, Using Windows 10. DashCam A108C with GPS.
I’ve seen positioning errors on my gps.
I would be in the other lane on a 2 lane road. It would mysteriously snap back to where I actually was. I suspect interference other weak satellite signal.
Nuvi 2460LMT.
Large JCV File
Has anyone loaded the Large JCV file for this?
Any problems? I am worried space is going to be a problem on my 32590.
Thanks !
I-684 in NY State Still has wrong exit numbers
The idiots in Albany decided to renumber all of the exits on I-84 in NY. My Garmin unuts still have the old exit numbers.

It's a good thing

Most interstates have been renumbered that way, based on mileage. It's a good thing if you know the (new) exit number as you'll know how far it is to your exit as opposed to say, 3 exits from now.
In PA they have not only renumbered the exits but changed a route number on what used to be I-95 in Bucks County, now I-295. Not sure if this change has caught up to the 2020.30 update or not.

Sunset
Since updating, my 3590LMT has decided that sunset is almost 3 hours later than actual. The display stays bright and won't switch to the night setting automatically.
Time Zone?

It sounds like it could be a Time Zone or location issue. I suggest tapping Settings, then Units & Time. I'm guessing that the 3590 can auto-set the time but maybe on the Units & Time page, your GPS has unchecked the Automatic time set and is set for a different time or time zone. Checking Automatic Time may fix the problem. It's also possible in my mind that if your GPS hasn't been used for a while, it will take 10-30 minutes of being on with a clear GPS signal to update the almanac data and once updated, should show correct time and location and therefore know when sunrise and sunset is for you. Rechecking your Garmin Express with the 3590 attached may also show software updates available and if there are any, get them. Your GPS amy also have an option to disable automatic tunnel/nighttime dimming and it'd be worth checking for such a setting to see if autodimming is enabled. If none of this applies, a hard reset of your device may be in order. Good luck.
Haha, yes, same
