POI Icons

What is the method to match up POI Icons with a POI file. Assuming we would touch the POI Icon on the GPS sceen and the matching listing wouuld appear. Example, touch the flying J Icon, a listing of flying J's would appear.

What's in a Name

The Icon/BMP must be named EXACTLY the same as the POI it's associated with or it will not work - e.g., Flying J .csv / Flying J .bmp

The same holds true for MP3/.ogg (SOUND) files that will be associated with a particular POI.

This is true no matter which brand of GPSr you own!

Once installed?

Do you mean "once installed"? If so, the icons will appear (when loaded correctly) on your map when zoomed in (level dependent upon model and type). They represent the individual POI and are for position only, they are not interactive as far as I know. If you want to find all the "Flying Js), you would go to custom pois and do a search. The 50 closest would appear.
