Garmin 660 POI question

I downloaded Starbucks and Flying J POIs. They both had .bmp graphics. I noticed my POI file on the 660 has two entries for each POI. Is one of the entries the .bmp file or do I actually have duplicate files?

One is the bmp. To have a

One is the bmp. To have a POI file, you need at minimum the POI itself, for example:

Starbucks.csv

Then, you can have two other files that "help" the POI. For example:

Starbucks.bmp - A graphic image to be displayed for the Starbucks location.

Starbucks.mp3 - A sound file to be played if you use proximity or speed alerts.

Have I duplicated files on my Nuvi 660

Thanks.

I understand the various files to download. My question is: Have I duplicated my download. When I look at the Starbucks POI folder on the Nuvi, I see two files for each location. Either it is a duplicate or one is the .bmp file. Since there is no file extension, I cannot tell.

totally possible

did you download one file to a SD card then install to your nuvi. Or, load directly to nuvi and SD card.
Or did you rename the poi.gpi file?

Remove the SD card and check it out and see how many show up.
