Hello All,
I have purchase a North America Garmin LMT-S 61 and I have inserted a microsd card of 64gb but my Garmin is not using it.
My Garmin has 15GB internal and have 7GB free space how can I use the microsd or is it use for specific things only.
also how large can I do on microsd that is accepted.
Thanks

Looks like that unit will take a maximum of 32 GB. Here's the link:

Well
It'll take it but by default 64Gb cards are not formatted FAT32, which is why your device isn't using it. Format it FAT32 and it should work.
Given the free space on your device though you shouldn't need a card.

Windows cannot format a 64GB storage device to FAT32
If you are using Windows it cannot format a storage device that is more than 32GB to FAT32. You'll need a third party FAT32 format tool to do it.

Perhaps it can be done in Windows if a 32GB partition is created first on the SD card?

Just out of curiosity, have you tried this from the command prompt using the /FS:FAT32 switch? It has been a while since I have tried it, but in the past I have been able to format volumes larger than 32 GB from the command prompt this way.
example: FORMAT X: /FS:FAT32

Sure I can try diskpart it for fat32
