Garmin Link IPhone and a Nuvi 660

Question. I’ve had Garmin Link on iPhone for a while, though I thought I attempted using it with a GPS. I think, or I wouldn’t have kept it on phone.
Today I attempted on using it with a 660.
Never read any instructions, don’t have any available. Turned on Bluetooth on 660, and then told Garmin Link to send to GPS.
No error messages, but also no connect. So I Manually put in address in 660, and continued on.
Maybe 660 doesn’t work with GL???

I vaguely remember using

I vaguely remember using Garmin Link with a GPS. Garmin Link ‘Compatible devices’ show 2689LMT is compatible, but doesn’t indicate Nuvi 660 is. So I may have answered my own question.

The 660...

...is not compatible with Garmin SmartLink.

Not compatible with my 2460 either.

Old Nuvi

I got 770 and connected it with my Samsung smartphone over BT. All you can get from this connections is (if I remember correctly): phone book from phone accessible over nuvi with possibility of making calls that were redirected to nuvi (audio output, worked as loudspeaker). It worked, you can actually make calls via nuvi.

There is no internet connection or other data transfer, as there was no smartphones with internet connection back then. Those old nuvis were not designated to use anything like internet connection or data transfer.
