"Contact" not working. (for moderators)

A few folks, including myself, in this thread:

were trying to use the contact button to send a private email. It appears email is not being sent, even when the send myself a copy is checked nothing happens. Is this a known problem and something that can be fixed?

I have sent Angela a few messages about RLC's in my area during the past few months, wonder if they ever got through?

Not working for me either

Has not worked for a couple of years, at least.

I can fill out the fields and submit, but it just disappears into the ether.

Also never see the copy sent to myself.

I have sent a few updates via Angela to pass onto intended recipient.

I'm impressed the forgotten

I'm impressed the forgotten password email option still works wink. Means email is generally configured correctly (more or less). Would expect the contact portion to use similar methodology to send the messages.

Although, depending how the message is formed, it may be getting rejected due to sender spoofing. IE, my domain only allows emails to be sent from specific servers, if they're sent from anywhere else, policy dictates the receiving end should reject/discard them.
