In danger of losing your windmill?
Maybe you can share the last place your GPS took you and if you encountered any problems, or if you used it to seek out special places to go (like Thai Food, ice cream shoppes, etc.).
Anything to keep your windmill alive.
This thread will be closed on the last day of the month and a new one will be opened.
Flew to Atlanta for a long weekend. Great to have "Samantha" with me. Who would think...found a small Thai/Japanese restaurant in a fading strip mall with nice staff and good food.
Never leave home without my credit card and Garmin.
Last place was work. Not fun, but pays the rent
In the last 2 weeks I did 2 roundtrips from NW PA to Eden Prairie, MN. On the 2nd roundtrip the zumo 665 hung up 3 times and needed to be reset. I had lots of rain to watch on the XM Weather. I use it daily so I'll have to keep an eye on it for any more problems.
I took along my unit yesterday to alert me about when I was getting close to the store. I was thinking the store was a few miles ahead, but my unit directed me off the main road and had me turn into a side street. The entrance to the parking lot was accessible from the side road and not on the main road. I was impressed.
To get my new karmann ghia
Drove a rental cargo van from Midwest to Florida. After renting the van found that the one power port that it had did not work. It had 3 usb ports, but Nuvi 3597 said wrong power cord or something like that when plugged into usb socket and would not charge. I have a couple of Anker Powercores and tried plugging one of them into the Nuvi. It immediately began charging. Went all the way to Florida with the Nuvi Plugged into the powercore. I did have to recharge the powercore from the vans usb ports occasionally which it would do with no problem.
I am totally sold on the Anker Powercores, they will charge anything. It made the difference of having a GPS to drive the 1200 miles each way and not having one. I had a cell phone I could have used, but don't like using the small screen except when absolutely necessary.
Had softball banquet, great time had by all
which is a wonderful town with interesting stores & exhibits.
Enjoyed it very much.
Rooftop party at that!
Washington, DC to Canton, OH.
I go out sometime and just start taking roads to see where they take me, if I get totally turned around kick in the GPS and let it get me back to a big road again ha ha.
Our last trip using the GPSr's was from May 2017 until Oct 24 2017 FL to CO and back via AL,MS,LA,TX,NM, AZ UT and CO;
return thru KS, MO, AR, TN, NC, and GA.
This past Saturday evening my family took my wife and I to Ferrante Winery in Harpersfield, Ohio, to celebrate our 50th anniversary. A good time was had by all.
Through the mountains to Hickory NC. Lots of downed trees and power lines there from the tornado they had about a week ago.
Ran down to Corpus for a convention. GPS routed me through Rockport on the way home. Glad we only had rain; those folks are still picking through debris.
