Even though it’s Monday, I’m sitting here with a big smile on my face, after the Golden State Warriors went up 2–0 on the Cleveland Cavaliers, in the NBA championship series.

I don't mind too much that it's Monday as this is the second to last Monday I have to come to work. Next Monday will be the LAST Monday I have to work. NINE days to go after today.

Simpler times or more choices
Ever wonder why old people (myself included) take so long in the grocery store?
All I had to do this morning is run down to the store for a loaf of bread. Then it struck me. The store has a whole aisle devoted to this one product. There was 6 grain, 9 grain, and 12 grain bread. They have potato bread....never know that. I always though bread was made from fields of moving grain. Buttering up a dirty spud doesn't seem so romantic.
I saw a purple bread. I don't even want to know about that.
They took that big pie tin Hawaiian sweet bread and made it into convenient slices. Part of the charm was ripping off a huge chunk, setting it briefly on the stove burner, and lathering it up with to much butter.
The more I looked, the more my eyes glazed over as I sunk into a bread induced stupor.
In simpler times there were 2 choices....white bread or brown bread. Actually 3 choices. The day old bread sold for a nickel less.
Then I noticed they ran out of the cheap generic white bread I normally get. It took me 20 minutes to get a loaf of bread. I get home and my wife asks as I toss the bread in the counter: "What is this Brioche stuff you got?"
