In danger of losing your windmill?
Maybe you can share the last place your GPS took you and if you encountered any problems, or if you used it to seek out special places to go (like Thai Food, ice cream shoppes, etc.).
Anything to keep your windmill alive.
This thread will be closed on the last day of the month and a new one will be opened.
the beach in Mexico. Won't need Nuvi for another week
Friday off with the wife - extending the family day Monday... We shall see what we get up to. Likely a movie possibly.
If you haven't seen Star Wars go. It was great in 3D.
Went there for a wedding in August. It's a shame how difficult it is to use the bathroom there
I didn't think the new movie was up to the standards of the first movie.
Snowing hard,piling up.
...yesterday to Salt Lake City, to retrieve a family member flying in from the PNW.
An impromptu group outing to a Chipotle after a twice-weekly workout. Nuvi found one only a mile away. None of us knew there was one that close.
great defensive superbowl game
what a great Superbowl surprise!!
To avoid traffic
Looking forward to Spring...
I'm from Chicagoland and can deal with snow/ice....
I've never had to deal with hills with snow and black Ice before (now In Mountains of NC) I'm finding that even a little snow and ice is much different driving than it was in Chicagoland... due to the hills and turns!!! Even with an all wheel drive vehicle!
chauffeuring my son to school. I'm just missing the cap/hat. LOL. Have a good weekend folks.
look forward to this weekend.
All is on hold have been sick for 5days now.
Looking forward to trying out the new maps!
i love my windmill
My last trip was to Sturgeon Bay, WI (from Chicago)
My last 'how do i get there' was from Dirks Fish and Gourmet Shop in Chicago (best place to buy raw fish - it is flown in daily and Chicago O'Hare airport is a major hub so all kinds of fish can be flown in fresh)
My garmin has the traffic thing and I'm thinking of getting rid of that cable and getting a regular cable as it always tries to route me away from traffic (in chicago? is that possible?) and takes me WAY out of the way, on these wild goose chase routes to where I want to go not realizing that I KNOW there is major traffic on I-94 South and was willing to just creep along for a couple miles...
I do really enjoy my garmin. Especially once I get somewhere and just want to go home without dealing with paper maps. I press "home" and it routes me (usually) to the highway and I'm home in 2 shakes of a lambs tail.
The temps were in the upper 60's and the sun was shining so we took a trip along the Arkansas River yesterday. While the better half and the Android deprived teenager were looking at the flora and fauna (mostly scrub), I was scouting for fishin' holes!
Three years ago on this date there was 7 inches of snow on the ground. Burrr.
Dallas Fort Worth!
Working on a friend's vacation home. Electrical mostly.
A real slog during most of the day.
11 below before wind chill in NE CT
Thats one for the old guys!
Went to Braum's in River Oaks to eat a hamburger and fries. We pass another Braum's in Lake Worth just to get to the one in River Oaks. It is much better. It may be that I am just used to the area...
Was a nice day for a short 100 mile motorcycle run on Saturday. We have another one next Saturday.
To visit my ancient aunt.
Several days of Really!! is really all I can take.
I'm going to Pensacola, FL tomorrow. The Garmin has been updated with the latest maps, and the newest POI files that I use.
Up to a R/C swap meet.
to keep the windmill spinning.
got to LA and hotel had cancelled our reservations. It was 8:30 at night with no hotel room available within 30 miles (thanks to the Hollywood Awards). So we rented a car and drove out of LA to cousins WITHOUT our trusty Nuvi, just a paper map Boy did we miss the Nuvi after two wrong turns. How did we travel before GPS!
Lesson learned...our 2455LTM is small enough it can go in any of our small bags. Never again without Nuvi :-0
Yikes!!!! All of 2015 our Windmill did not turn. Actually since October 2014. Drove the RV back and forth to the service center a couple of times, but no overnight trips. The RV is pawing the ground. We're winding up to spin the Windmill in the Spring..!!!
To the bark to clean out frozen horse poop.
Taking an alternate route from ski slope to an evening class.
Been to both places from home. Never directly from one to another.
