In danger of losing your windmill?

Maybe you can share the last place your GPS took you and if you encountered any problems, or if you used it to seek out special places to go (like Thai Food, ice cream shoppes, etc.).

Anything to keep your windmill alive.

This thread will be closed on the last day of the month and a new one will be opened.

Looking forward to Spring...
I'm from Chicagoland and can deal with snow/ice....
BUT
I've never had to deal with hills with snow and black Ice before (now In Mountains of NC) I'm finding that even a little snow and ice is much different driving than it was in Chicagoland... due to the hills and turns!!! Even with an all wheel drive vehicle!

garmin has its own mind

My last trip was to Sturgeon Bay, WI (from Chicago)
Road trip
My last 'how do i get there' was from Dirks Fish and Gourmet Shop in Chicago (best place to buy raw fish - it is flown in daily and Chicago O'Hare airport is a major hub so all kinds of fish can be flown in fresh)

Anyway...
My garmin has the traffic thing and I'm thinking of getting rid of that cable and getting a regular cable as it always tries to route me away from traffic (in chicago? is that possible?) and takes me WAY out of the way, on these wild goose chase routes to where I want to go not realizing that I KNOW there is major traffic on I-94 South and was willing to just creep along for a couple miles...

I do really enjoy my garmin. Especially once I get somewhere and just want to go home without dealing with paper maps. I press "home" and it routes me (usually) to the highway and I'm home in 2 shakes of a lambs tail.

Great weather

The temps were in the upper 60's and the sun was shining so we took a trip along the Arkansas River yesterday. While the better half and the Android deprived teenager were looking at the flora and fauna (mostly scrub), I was scouting for fishin' holes!

Three years ago on this date there was 7 inches of snow on the ground. Burrr.

River Oaks

Went to Braum's in River Oaks to eat a hamburger and fries. We pass another Braum's in Lake Worth just to get to the one in River Oaks. It is much better. It may be that I am just used to the area... smile

Argh...

got to LA and hotel had cancelled our reservations. It was 8:30 at night with no hotel room available within 30 miles (thanks to the Hollywood Awards). So we rented a car and drove out of LA to cousins WITHOUT our trusty Nuvi, just a paper map razz Boy did we miss the Nuvi after two wrong turns. How did we travel before GPS!

Lesson learned...our 2455LTM is small enough it can go in any of our small bags. Never again without Nuvi :-0

My Windmill came to a stop....

Yikes!!!! All of 2015 our Windmill did not turn. Actually since October 2014. Drove the RV back and forth to the service center a couple of times, but no overnight trips. The RV is pawing the ground. We're winding up to spin the Windmill in the Spring..!!!
