Keeping The Windmill Alive - Your Last Trip? – February 2016

In danger of losing your windmill?

Maybe you can share the last place your GPS took you and if you encountered any problems, or if you used it to seek out special places to go (like Thai Food, ice cream shoppes, etc.).

Anything to keep your windmill alive.

This thread will be closed on the last day of the month and a new one will be opened.

On my way here I drive through Dallas and I have the AC on then in October. About 4 weeks later I quite often see they had snow, go figure.
I have not seen winter or snow since about 10 years ago. I leave home before it gets cold return after.
Daily temperatures here are about 86 degrees every day and blue skies.

We think about doing something like that and would love it. Then we think of our kids and 7 grand kids that all live within 20 minutes of of. They are 13, 11, (2) 9, (2) 7, and one 6. We are so attached to them we hate to go off for that long BUT do think about it. The good thing is both families believe it is their place to raise their children and we only see them as family units. That makes it nice as I see so many grandparents raising their grand kids. Sometimes it just can't be helped but by not having any thing other than visiting with them it sure makes it nice.
That being said, I do get very cold and would love to be in Mexico or somewhere like that to keep the chill out. The pull of the kids and grand kids is out weighing the pull of the warm winter months for now. Maybe when they get older and we are not the center of their world anymore it will be eaiser to leave for long periods of time.

Enjoy your warm days.

That would be somewhere to look at. We could visit each other. Close enough for a few winter visits. Thanks
