I noticed that my new nüvi 2598 does not have a picture viewer. Does that mean we can no longer set a splash screen image?

Garmin FAQ doesn't show support on your model. Thre are some models out there that do have it. http://goo.gl/LcjRyf

2598 Has No Picture Viewer
Unfortunately the 2598 does NOT show in the owner’s manual index as having a picture viewer. Looking at the 2595 series under the index, it DOES show it having a picture viewer.
What a shame, they keep removing desirable features on newer models.

Odd numbering
My 2595 was stolen and I expected the 2598 to be a newer, more advanced version.
The 2598 is so different from the 2595 that I'm surprised they are in the same series.
