Alright, about to take a chance on Live Traffic as most have reported good and improved traffic info. Just wondering if anyone has seen it go on sale and when.
Not me
Like you, I hesitated to add another traffic service to my already-present HD traffic on my 3597, not only for the cost but the fear that it could be worse than what I already had. As others have pointed out to me on more than one occasion (Box Car, this is you ), Live Traffic is great and worth a 1-time fee.
To answer your question, no, I've never seen any of the premium Garmin Smartphone Link apps discounted.
PS—we have a couple links here at The Factory showing that the standard and premium Smartphone Link apps take very little of your smartphone's data allotment.
Yes, I got it on my Iphone6
Yes, I got it on my Iphone6 last October or November when it was on sale on Apple Store. I think it was 50% off at that time. Previously I had it on my Android phone which I purchased at full price but second time it was a great deal at 50% for IOS.

Garmin Live services are now
Garmin Live services are now 40% cheaper until September 24, 2015.
If anyone interested, now is the time.

Does Live Traffic Ever Go On Sale?
Wow, thank you for the tip!
Opinions please
For those that have purchased the Live Traffic..Is it similar to the way Google Maps traffic performs or is it better?
Also have you purchased the Traffic cams and Weather? Is the weather up to date and accurate? And is the Traffic cams just still pictures and/or live motion traffic cams? Thanks in advance.
Thinking about purchasing all three to play with on my 1000+ mile trip next week.
Live traffic not as robust as Google
I'm using live traffic on the Garmin Smartphone Link connected to my Nuvi 2598. At least here in the SF Bay Area the live traffic does a very good job on highways. To the extent that a surface street is a major street it will show congestion or other events. What it will NOT do is show you cars stopped a particular intersection like Google does because I don't think it uses data from individual drivers.

Weather or not!

I purchased weather. The weather appears to be accurate and up to date. Alerts & Warnings show up about the same time as on the radio. A weather map can be displayed, but it's fairly low resolution. WeatherBug (app for I-Phone) has a much better weather map. But for a 5 buck one-time charge you aren't going to loose much, and it will provide some entertainment.

Garmin live traffic coverage.

The traffic coverage isn't nearly as comprehensive as Google Maps. The Here web site can display traffic, and I think the roads covered by Here/Garmin are represented fairly accurately on the web page. To see all of the covered roads you must zoom in on the map.

I found Traffic Cams to be pretty useless but other two services are very useful. Weather is very accurate. Traffic is very good as well.
