Nuvi 780 Lifetime Maps included?

I can't recall, but did the Nuvi 780 include lifetime maps, or did you have to buy a lifetime maps subscription for it ?

The 780 (a 760 with an MSN traffic receiver) didn't come with lifetime maps. I don't recall if you could even buy a lifetime subscription when they came out.
Nuvi 350, 760, 1695LM, 3790LMT, 2460LMT, 3597LMTHD, DriveLuxe 50LMTHD, DriveSmart 61, Garmin Drive 52, Garmin Backup Camera 40 and TomTom XXL540s.

Any Garmin nuvi models that included Lifetime maps had LM after the model number, and I can't find any such Garmin model number.
The easiest way to check though is to hook it up to your computer, use Garmin Express (or mapupdater) and see if you can update the maps.

If I remember correctly, the first nuvis that bundled a lifetime map subscription with the device were in the 1xxx series.
Garmin announced the Lifetime map subscription in mid-2008. I think the 7x0 series was probably already discontinued at that time (or at least soon to be discontinued).
