Base Camp update

Thanks for the update. Sorry for the stupid question but is this update for all Garmin users? I am not sure if I have this.

It depends

If you manually installed Basecamp at some point, it's for you. And if during a map update, you chose to have the map installed to your computer as well as your GPS, then you have BaseCamp. Otherwise, no.

Thanks, all went well, no surprises.

I was in a hurry

BaseCamp asked to update but I was in a hurry and said no. Now I can not find how to update manually.

It has not asked me to update again and I have opened it several times since then. Maybe it will ask again soon.

Link,

@mgarledge ... To manually update Basecamp, just click on the link in the first post of this thread. That is what I had to do as Basecamp 4.4.6 did not offer to do the update automatically.

Basecamp should now offer update automatically.

I just read in the Garmin software forum that Garmin just this morning fixed the issue of their server not automatically offering the Basecamp 4.4.7 update. The update should now be offered when you start Basecamp.

BaseCamp Update

Had to look around for the update notice by BaseCamp but found it in the toolbar at the top of the screen. Would have never known it was there if it was not for this forum. Thanks

Do not see it

What does the notice look like. Is it an icon? There is nothing on my toolbar saying Update.

Click the Help word. If there is no update available, nothing will show (there is no Check for Updates) but if there is an update, you'll be given the choice to install it. A very non-standard method in my opinion.

Thanks for the update. I

Thanks for the update. I would never have know about it without this forum.

After I dismissed the update notice, because I didn't have the time at that time to install it, I went back later several times and looked in Help and all the other subjects on the tab and the Update never showed up. I guess when I dismissed it it took it off the Help tab also. I would even open the "about" and others on that tab to see if it was hiding there.

On the first

attempt, it didn't take. I used the download link from bennor. The progress bar went a little over half way across and stopped. I later signed in to Basecamp and then the update showed up in the 'help' header. It then completed the update. I don't know if I missed something on the first attempt or I had to actually be signed in to Basecamp. Any ideas?
