Is there a FAQ for this?

When I get the latest map update, I install the update to the device (1450) and the computer using MapUpdater.
My question is: should any of the three 1450 map files get corrupted, etc., is there a method to recreate these map files from the update files on the computer?
I looked in the FAQs but was unable to locate any info on this. I'm probably not looking for the correct terms.

No FAQ, but to be sure you
No FAQ, but to be sure you can recreate the map using MapInstall, make sure to leave the install files on the computer. There is a checkbox on the map select screen which when set will do that very thing.
