Keeping The Windmill Alive - Your Last Trip? – February 2015

In danger of losing your windmill?

Maybe you can share the last place your GPS took you and if you encountered any problems, or if you used it to seek out special places to go (like Thai Food, ice cream shoppes, etc.).

Anything to keep your windmill alive.

This thread will be closed on the last day of the month and a new one will be opened.

Ready for Zombie Apocalypse

Took daughter to shooting range to try out my new Kimber 45acp and my new Taurus Judge 410/45.
Both worked flawlessly, but daughter still prefers my Ruger Standard 22 pistol.

Just won a trip to Southern California to demo our product -- never been to the destination, but the Nuvi knows how to find it, and has an estimate of travel time. (I've been to the general area many times, so I'm comfortable with the estimate -- I'll get there in plenty of time to have lunch beforehand.) Backup was Google maps, which gave me the company name when I specified the address, and estimates travel time close to what the Nuvi did. Of course they could both be nuts...

I'll find out!

Just to make sure smile

It's good that I have the topographic maps in my handheld Garmin GPS, because the automotive version I have does not show the forest Jeep trails...

Had a great day dancing in Atlanta area!

Alerted to wreck on route (285 at Jonesboro Road) about 50 miles out of Atlanta. Info about status of wreck was right on the money and wreck was cleared shortly after we arrived in area. Total delay for us was only about 5 minutes.

Made it in and out lf LA!

Success -- in and out of LA intact! Nuvi travel estimates going down from Silicon Valley were spot on. Getting out, it warns me of traffic -- yeah, 405 Northbound at 9AM seldom moves at greater than 20 MPH, so that ETA outbound is a little suspect.

It was good to see the blimp tethered and sleeping at the intersection of the Harbor and San Diego Freeways as I drove by Monday night -- somehow I know that sleeping blimps dream of flying.

Plotted a trip to Florida

Plotted a trip to Florida from Boston. A few of the waypoints were off I guess as it sometimes sent us off the highway then back on or reversed direction then back on our way. Once it said go left when it showed right and right was the correct direction.

Worked great for finding POI's along the way though!

Must be nice

I am in the house. The thermostat set on our normal 72 degrees and I still have two pair of sox on and two sweatshirts on. I think it is safe to say I am cold natured.
