People finding their 'waze' to once-hidden streets

People are consumed with

People are consumed with shaving a few minutes off any kind of a trip. Always in a hurry to get somewhere faster.

I worked in LA for a couple of months in the early-70's. Traffic was always bad on any of the freeways.

I never get lost, but I do explore new territory every now and then.

I find Waze valuable....

for it's real-time snapshot of actual conditions.

I Wonder

how they know Waze is causing the problem since many newer traffic enabled GPSr's have the same "auto detour" feature as well.

The problem could be solved if the city posted "No Through Traffic" signs at key intersections and go through the procedure to get the various databases updated.

They could even make a few $$ while waiting for the update by writing traffic tickets.

Carmageddon

There has been a lot of road construction past couple of years around the area of the news story. I like the way they blame bad traffic and Waze, and less on the causes like lane closures, detours, and even complete highway closures on weekends.
