POI Loader and Wav files

I recently purchased a 3597.
I am adding my custom POIs that I have been using on my 855.
The 3597 uses wav files and not mp3.
I built new wav files on the ATT page.
When I install these files through POI Loader I get a warning at the end that "Unable to convert .wav file to the proper format therefore this audio file was not transferred"
I tried most everything I could find on this site to no avail.
Anybody see the above message? What am I doing wrong?
sox.exe
Have you installed sox.exe if you're using a PC?

Sox.exe
I have tried the latest sox and even went back to sox 14.0.1.
I also loaded the latest POI Loader file.
On my 855 I built wav files, converted to mp3 and never had any problems.
All the wave files I built play on all the media players I have.
I am using Windows 7 and tried running both files on the Windows 7 compatibility.
There must be something simple that I am missing.
wav
Make sure after going to my computer then go to program files (x86) . Then Garmin folder and then click on poi loader folder . Put unzipped sox.exe in that folder per the link provided from above.

Use 14.0.1 only
I have tried the latest sox and even went back to sox 14.0.1...
As described in the faq, use only the old sox.exe version 14.0.1. There's a very long thread here somewhere describing the problems associated with trying newer versions of sox.
Found it. Our member Evert finally sleuthed it out:

Note that most of the discussion on page 1 and early page 2 is incorrect info, so if you want the real answer, you need to read all three pages.
Program files (x86)
Make sure after going to my computer then go to program files (x86) . Then Garmin folder and then click on poi loader folder . Put unzipped sox.exe in that folder per the link provided from above.
Program Files (x86) is important. There is another Program Files without x86.
I am running sox.exe version 14.0.1 on my Windows 7 64-bit PC, and the .wav files work fine on the nuvi 3597.
The path is
Local Disk C:/Program Files (x86)/Garmin/POI Loader/sox.exe

Proper .wav file format?
What about the .wav file being in the proper format? I converted MP3s to .wav on a website but do not remember the format specified.
edit:
The answer is in charlesd45's FAQ file:
