Delete waypoints

I made a trip early last year and have all the waypoints saved in a folder in 'my collection', Garmin Basecamp. They are also on my Garmin 1450 internal memory. Is there an easy way to delete these off my Garmin without doing it one at a time. It would be nice if I could do it in Basecamp, when Garmin is attached, and just highlight all, then delete. I tried that and it didn't work. I could be doing something wrong. Might be 70 or more waypoints.

You need to go into the Garmin and remove them from it's memory. They are probably in your Favorites and they can be deleted be using the edit function ON THE GARMIN. Bring up the Favorites and you will be able to select the points to be deleted by checking the box. In Basecamp, bring up the program and then delete the folder WITHOUT CONNECTING your unit. This keeps Basecamp from transferring them back. You should be able to connect your Garmin safely. The "My Collection" is what the programmers call the contents of your Current.GPX file.

I do not think so
Box Car; What I want to do is keep them on Basecamp for future reference. I want to delete them on my Garmin; more room for other things, out of the way to look at way points or when I want to add stuff, etc.
I must be missing something because when I bring up my favorites, on Garmin, there is no edit function for all. I have to bring up each way point, then 'go' and use the edit function for that selection only. When Garmin was connected, I tried to delete them thru Basecamp (right click), and there was no delete button. This could take 10 hours.(smile). Yikes!!!

Page 28 of your User Manual states:
1. Touch Tools > My Data
2. Select a option:
. Set Home Location
. Delete Selected Favorites
. Clear Trip Log
. View Map Errors
If you use Tools and My Data, you can remove multiple Favorites at one time.

reread manual
Box Car, I looked in my 1450 and it stated 'delete favorites'. Opened my Garmin tote bag and blew off the dust of my manual I had printed off when Garmin was new. It stated same as what you said. Then I did go through the steps and ZAP, they were gone. I think I need to reread my manual again.
Thanks for the help.

I admit
I admit that many of my instructions and suggestions aren't step-by-step and it's for a reason. If I lay out the step-by-step directions you don't have the opportunity to learn additional details and features of your unit because there is no need to do research and learn. I'm glad you were able to delete the waypoints and now you have also learned there are additional options available under the options provided in Garmin Menus.
Keep Learning!
