Keeping the Windmill Alive - Your last trip? – January 2014

In danger of losing your windmill?

Maybe you can share the last place your GPS took you and if you encountered any problems, or if you used it to seek out special places to go (like Thai Food, ice cream shoppes, etc.).

Anything to keep your windmill alive.

This thread will be closed on the last day of the month and a new one will be opened.

Christmas trip.

We took a trip from the Chapel Hill area of NC to St Augustine Florida for Christmas. Two things of note: Southbound we were routed through the center of Jacksonville, Northbound we were routed around the East side. There were a number of traffic holdups on I95 but we got no traffic warnings though we got extensive road construction warnings near Jacksonville.

Routing Around

I have never been able to find a mapping program or gps that will route around the west side of Jacksonville. The only way to make it rout is set via points below or above I10 or make the whole area of Jacksonville and east an Avoid.

no GPS needed this time

Taking a vacation on a small island. It's so small, using a GPS is a waste of time.

No Where

We usually drive to Chicago for our Grandson's birthday. He was here for Christmas so we did a birthday for him.

A Cabin in the Mountains

I joined some friends for New Year's Eve at a cabin in the Blue Ridge Mountains, near Asheville, NC. My 760 led me right to the address, with a stretch of interstate, a winding road through the mountains, and finally a dirt road up to the cabin.
