Traveling for the holidays!

Getting away for the holidays. Thinking about taking the Kentucky Bourbon Trail, then going on into Tennessee and the Jack Daniels distillery. My brother lives outside Chattanooga, and I haven't seen him in four years, so it should be an awesome trip. Guess I'll be spending some time updating POI files on my nuvi 2555.

Looking forward to some slightly warmer weather here in Chicago. Of course a few days after we're supposed to get more snow but I'll take 40 degrees in December without complaint. It's been pretty cold so far this year, and real winter hasn't even struck yet. Thank goodness I take public transit to work now.

An Anniversary.

We celebrated our 6th Anniversary today and went to Ruby Tuesday's for dinner. I had a couple of beers too and she had a glass of wine. Was a nice day out.

You need the Garmin Web Updater. http://www8.garmin.com/products/webupdater/howtoinstall.jsp

It will allow you to update your device software and update/download voice files.

He wasn't asking about Garmin files but the alert sounds found here:

http://www.poi-factory.com/gps-sounds

Some of these files may need conversion from MP3 to WAV but that can be done with several free programs from the Internet such as Audacity.
