Newbie POI Storage question

I recently purchased a Garmin 855 to use on my Harley since I couldn't afford a Zumo. I have downloaded the Harley Dealership file for USA and the POI Loader. My question is do I load the custom POI (Harley Dealerships) onto the sd card or the actual 855? The second part of the question is "is there anyway to sort the dealerships by state"? I was thinking if they go on the internal memory it might take up too much space and slow the unit down. If they can go on the sd card (16GB) it shouldn't be an issue. I'm new but can usually figure things out with a little help.

custom POI
Custom POI's can go on either internal memory or on the SD card. If you put them on the SD card, the system will prompt you to copy them to internal memory when you boot the device. I prefer to put them in the internal memory in the first place to avoid the prompt. Custom POI's take up very little space.
The 855 is constrained on space so if you update the map, you will get a small junction view file with limited coverage. You can download the full coverage JCV file (about 750 MB) and that will need to go on the SD card. So if you move the JCV file from the internal memory to the SD card, you will have plenty of room in internal memory for the custom POI's.

The 855 shows as having 4gb of internal memory so that means it is limited on space. As to whether it will prompt you to install from sd to internal every time, I am not sure. Older units allowed you to skip that step but newer ones don't give you that choice. You get the prompt and just hit no to the "install to internal". It's a pain but works.
You can check to see how much memory you have available by hooking the 855 to the computer and look at it.
We have also recommended deleting unnecessary voices and other files not needed to free up space. Be sure to back up any files before deleting. Check our FAQ's on back up.
