Murder trial
I was not able to post yesterday because of jury duty. Except for brief lunch break, I was at courthouse from 8am to 8pm while jury was struck for capital murder trial. I was not among the those chosen.
This was the first time I have been called for jury duty in 50 years. I do not have to serve again for 3 years.
I was chosen for a federal murder trial. Be glad you were not chosen. It lasted 6 weeks and was no fun.
He was given the death penalty. I was the 14th juror, they lost one and that made me 13th but think goodness they didn't loose any more jurors. I had to go through the entire trial just like I was one of the 12 but I didn't have to make the final decision. Don't know what I would have done... It was deserved - Lisa Rena case - Bruce Webster - I kept up with him for a while but don't know if it ever happened are not.....

Busy Week
Late posting... been a busy week so far.
Lots of home maintenance repairs to do. Spent big $$$$ on a new washer & dryer. At 20+ years old, we got our moneys worth out of the last pair.
Had to order a custom built exterior door to replace one that is rotting out. The new one will be all fiberglass & composite frame so no more rotting.
Geez, it's hump day already. Hope everyone is having a great week!

Also keeps my wallet lighter. Can't believe how much money we spent so far this week and we're not done. Have to go buy new door hardware for several doors. Having them re-keyed so we can get back to one key for all outside locks.
That will make my keychain lighter, too.

We need to replace a couple of doors. Just keep putting it off.
Know what you mean about the keys. Our locks have all different keys. We should have them re keyed....Just haven't.

I put off replacing this one door, too. But now it's rotted so bad that the lower hinge has come lose (no good wood for the screws) and the door is sagging badly.
I had replaced the lockset on our front door several years ago so that got us to 2 keys.
The lockset on this rotted door is sticking/binding so since I'll have to replace it when I install the new door, I decided to go ahead & buy new locksets for the 4 remaining exterior doors. I went to Lowes and was able to find 4 locksets that match the front door lockset style. Lowes is rekeying these 4 new locksets FOR FREE to match the existing front door key. 
Back to one key. 
Why are locksets so expensive?
