Batch download of POI files

Is there a program or technique that I can use to download several POI files in a batch process?
I found POISync but it seems to have vanished.
Did something change at the server for the web site that made POISync obsolete or did it just expire?
Actually, if I knew the file storage/naming structure, I could probably build such a process.
Any comments/help appreciated.
Regards,
Jim

Hmm!
http://www.poi-factory.com/node/33009
The POI Factory link you offer (and further links in that POI Factory thread or http://www.poi-factory.com/node/26847 ) all lead to links that offer one form or another of "ERROR 404 - PAGE NOT FOUND Oops! Looks like the page you're looking for was moved or never existed. Make sure you typed the correct URL or followed a valid link."
I tried four links and all the following failed:

POISync
I haven't used POISync in years, but I still have an original zipped copy of ver 2.0.2 if anyone wants it.
Just use the Contact tab under my Profile and when I get the notification email I'll reply and attach the zip file. It's small, only 108KB.
Be sure to read all the readme files in the zip package as POISync has some prerequisites, like needing JAVA.
I have no idea if the program will still run or not on today's PCs, so I would send it with no warranty or support.

My copy runs fine on my new Win 7 machine.
I am using PoiSync 2.0.0-20100219

Good to know and yours is an older version, too.
Actually, I found that I have all 3 versions:
2.0.0
2.0.1
2.0.2
I haven't looked to see what the changes are between versions.

Written by?
As best I can tell, this was written by Schumans - or at least he volunteered to send someone the latest version in http://www.poi-factory.com/node/32827
I did a track of his posts and the last was a post written on 10/19/2011. Hope he is OK.
I will try to reach him and see if he can point us to new links.
Perhaps a FAQ
If we can get POISync hosted on poi-factory itself, I plan to write a FAQ explaining how I use it.
When I do use it, I first have to do some cleanup on the "My Favorite Files" link because I often download files other members are having problems with, or questions about, in order to provide some help. Once that is done, using POISync makes updating my selected POI files a breeze.
I'm still around
Hi, I"m still around. Been a little busy with work, but I still check in once in a while.
Unfortunately, I don't have it anywhere right now for downloads. However, send me an email and I'd be happy so send the code.
Interesting concept.. Thanks
Interesting concept.. Thanks for the info
Windows 7
It is written in Java, so it should work with any platform with Java installed. There is only a small batch file that is Windows specific, so it can run on non-Windows platforms by invoking Java directly.

Will have it hosted here for a few weeks if someone wants it.
