nuvi 2595 not detected

Well, I got a 2595 and like it so far. Lots of neat new features.

WebUpdater detects it and communicates with it, though I haven't updated the software yet. It came with v6.3 loaded.

However, neither Map Source nor POI Loader detect it. I installed the latest version of POI Loader, but that didn't help.

Anyone else have this problem?

Change Your 2595 to Mass storage Mode

Out of the box, the 2595 is configured in MTP mode, so it will not appear on the computer as a removable drive (e.g. G:\) the way older GPSes do.

Glad to see it is a simple thing to change.
Is it safe to leave it in Mass Storage Mode or do I need to return it to MTP mode for map updates or other Garmin comminications?

You can leave it in MTP

MTP doesn't work for me

Do I have to return it to MTP mode after transferring data to it?

Don't reset to MTP Mode

Answer is NO, leave it in Mass Storage Mode.
