Poiloader

I am very new to connecting the GPS to my computer, and I have a problem that no one else has seemed to have... When I try loading a poi file to my unit, i get through the first couple screens, but right as it's supposed to be loaded into the unit I get an error that says that the file cannot be loaded and that i should try running poiloader again. what can I do to fix this?

Does the file end in .csv or

Does the file end in .csv or .gpx? Have you check the file with RT poi file verifier to check if the file has problems..?

POILoader

I used POILoader to load POIs into my nuvi350 (something like 33000 added) but I don't get any location alerts or see icons on my nuvi. Any thoughts on what I might be doing wrong?

Proximity alerts need to be set in order for you to be alerted. First if the file is not created as a speed alert type i.e. with @25 in the name, for example, or as a proximity alert with Redlight, Speed, GATSO, Mobile, SPECS, Safety, or Camera in the title, it will not automatically load as an alert type file. You can manually set a file to be an alert type by using POILoader in the manual, not express mode and setting the alerts there. In all cases, you need to have the Proximity Alert function turned on on your GPSr. Do a search on this site for "Proximity Alerts" to learn more.
Regarding seeing the icons, you need to be zoomed in and possibly have the map options set for More or Most Detail.
